Hello Lovelies!
I’m so excited to share all the fun I had at the spring Lovely Happenings event here in New York City. Lovely Happenings was created by the dream team sister-duo Rachael Grayson and Jaclyn Fisher. These lifestyle events bring together bloggers who share their passion and expertise in food, fashion, design, decorating, and all things fabulous in one chic space. This event was held at Dune Studios in Soho. I got to see some of my favorite blogger buddies and make some new friends as well.
The event had a wonderful selection of delicious treats in addition to a mimosa station!
One of the best parts of being at Lovely Happenings is discovering new designers and brands. Rania Dabagh Jewelry immediately caught my eye because of the modern and colorful pieces. Rania uses semi-precious stones and beads from all over the world and each piece is handmade is Brooklyn. Each piece looks and feels magical to me.
I’m sure my readers know I love accessories, and luxurious scarves are always at the top of the list. Alexandra of Lexicon of Style creates exquisite silk scarves and some of my favorites on her site are inspired by her travels. Check out the Glade Scarf which is perfect for spring.
There was a raffle with some cool prizes!!!
Melanie of Lace and Combat Boots is one of my favorite fashion bloggers. Her station at the event was a chance for visitors to create DIY face masks with natural, nourishing ingredients from the kitchen.
It’s time to cheers with a fun, refreshing, easy to make cocktail from The Steele Maiden.
If you are living life fabulously gluten-free then you have to visit Ali at bitchesbeglutenfree.com. I have friends and family that are gluten-free so I’m always on the look out for fun delicious recipes or products that they can use. Her delicious treats with a touch of ingredients that are nature’s aphrodisiacs. For example, Cacao contains caffeine and PEA (the “love chemical” known as phenylethylamine) which creates the feelings of attraction and euphoria, and helps to release Dopamine in the brain.
As engagement and wedding season quickly approaches, a signature invitation is the first step to creating the perfect event. Thanks to Amanda from GingerBride House I got a gorgeous example of what my next birthday party or Christmas Party invitation could look like!
My favorite crafty pastime happens to be knitting but I’m always eager to try something new and creative that involves making something special at home. Check out some awesome DIY projects at Craftic!
The most memorable part of the event for me was meeting a personal hero of mine, Deepica Mutyala from You Tube. She’s just as amazing as you think and it was great speaking with her about beauty, and being able to thank her for being such an inspiration to me and so many other women around the world.
It’s always a pleasure spending time with the lovely ladies behind Lovely Happenings!
You can find all the beautiful and brilliant bloggers mentioned in this post on Instagram so be sure to find and follow to keep the party going!
XOXO,
Lily
