SKINCARE REVIEW: And Now the World is a Happier Glossier Place!!

Hello Lovelies,

Ever since Glossier landed on planet Earth, my daily beauty routine has become more magical.  Glossier  (rhymes with “dossier”) is a skincare oriented, user-friendly brand infused with awesome ingredients and lots of girl power. The products work for all skin types and skin tones, and the price is excellent. Created by Emily Weiss, the genius behind the site IntoTheGloss, these products celebrate beauty in a way that is more about letting your own individual look shine through and having healthy skin. I visited the Glossier Pop-Up shop here in Manhattan. The last day for the shop was November 2nd and I’m so glad I was able to stop by this piece of paradise in Soho. I tried three out of the four products in the line and I have been having great results. The products come in pink, reusable ziplock bags that are great for travel. I am in love.

Here is my review on the three hottest beauty products that you absolutely need in your home.

1. Soothing Face Mist, 4 oz, $18

A week before this product came out, I was on Pinterest trying to find a recipe for my own DIY rosewater toner.  I love roses:  the scent, the petals, the color, and the skincare benefits. Rose as an ingredient in beauty products is anti-inflammatory and antiaging. I used this face mist as a toner after I cleansed, and I also used it to set my makeup. When I use it as a setting spray my foundation looks smoother and more natural.  It also contains Aloe, Honeysuckle, and Glycerin, and gives an instant boost of hydration.  This is also great to keep in your bag for a quick midday pick-me up.

2. Priming Moisturizer, 1.7oz, $25

DSCN0467 Makeup will always look and feel better when the skin well hydrated.  The Priming Moisturizer will work for all skin types and it also acts as a priming product for makeup.   The texture feels phenomenal, and the product instantly melts into your skin. I applied the Priming Moisturizer and put some sunscreen on top. I  then applied my Smashbox CC cream as I normally do and my makeup stayed in place and my skin felt great.

3. Balm Dotcom Universal Salve, 0.68oz, $12

I refer to this product as my pink and white Amex because I never leave home without it. This is a product that should always be in your purse. It is an all-in-one multitasking powerhouse.  I use it on my lips, on my cuticles, on my feet, and even as an emergency hand cream. Usually I don’t like balms because they tend to be very greasy and uncomfortable, but this product changed my mind. Anywhere your skin feels uncomfortable or dry just apply this little gem.  I must give kudos to Emily Weiss and her product development team because the smell and texture of these products makes them a dream to use.

I can’t wait to hear about how much you love these products after you try them out. As always, if you try out any of the products in this post please tag me on Instagram (@sagebeautyblog) and let me know how you like them.

Stay Beautiful
