NOTHING TO DECLARE: ADVENTURES IN AMSTERDAM: PART 2

Hello Lovelies,

In the second part of my three part series on my recent adventures in Holland I will be sharing some amazing Dutch drugstore products I discovered.  I arrived in Amsterdam on a Wednesday around 12pm.  By 4pm I was exploring the city and watching the sunset over the mystical canals.  I happen to walk into a pharmacy called Etos. Etos is similar to Duane Reade or CVS.  When I walked in I noticed that they carried familiar brands like Maybelline and L’oreal, but I wanted to try something distinctly Dutch.  I found the Etos store brand of cosmetics, and I sang with joy when I saw a glimpse of Bourjois. Every product in this post is less than twelve euros, so everything is less than twenty dollars.

1. Bourjois Volume Glamour Mascara and Volume Clubbing Ultra Black Mascara.

I can honestly and sincerely say I would travel around the world for a Bourjois product. I used to buy this brand at Sephora nine years ago, but they left the United States and I was heart-broken!!  The last time I bought these mascaras I was in London in 2012. I was seriously overdue for a refill.  The Volume Glamour Mascara gives the perfect amount of volume with lots of length. It never smudges, it never flakes, it lasts all day, and it smells amazing. I like the brush because it’s not oversized but still builds the volume up well and gives definition. This mascara is great for day or night.

The Volume Clubbing Mascara gives a false lashes effect.  If you feel like your mascara never stays on or you are getting married, then you will love this mascara. It is tear-proof and sweat-proof. It has a double-sided brush and the formula contains Vinyl. I feel like this is such a cool ingredient to add to a mascara. This product is all about durability and results. If you aren’t traveling anytime soon you can buy both of these on lifeandlooks.com.

2. Miss Sporty Instant Color & Shine Lasting Shiny Lip Colour

I have been wearing a lot of deep berry lip colors this fall so this little gem caught my eye right away.  I only bought one of them but I wish I had bought five.  It tastes like berries and feels incredibly smooth on the lips. The color payoff is similar to a stain but it is glossy. And I must clarify that it has shine but it’s not a patent leather shine. It’s more of a natural sheen which is why I like it. You can buy this brand on superdrug.com

3.Etos Skin Smoothing Primer

The Etos brand primer is very light weight and enriched with Vitamin E.  You only need a pump for the whole face. If you have normal to combination skin you will like how this feels on the skin. I used this primer with my Smashbox CC cream and it was a good combination.  I liked how it felt and my makeup lasted through a whole day of museum hopping.

4. Etos Cleansing Milk

I love this product.  This is great for a normal to dry or combination skin type. It is very gentle and leaves your skin soft and fresh. My skin was very dehydrated from the eight-hour flight and this soothed the dry spots.

5. Etos Extra Strong Hairspray

O…M….G….. This hairspray has been my number one styling product for the past two weeks. And just like everything else I bought it smells wonderful. It gives strong hold but my hair never felt sticky and there was no product build-up.

Most of these products can be found online, so if you try any of these products let me know!  Tag me on Instagram (@sagebeautyblog) or Twitter (@sagebeautyblog).

Stay Beautiful

Lily
