Skincare Review: Boscia Tsubuki Beauty Oil

As a Sephora client I have reached the level of VIB Rouge as a Beauty Insider. I usually just let my points accumulate until something very special that I would actually use is available as a 500 point gift. I was absolutely ecstatic when I saw the One-Step Wonders set from Boscia.  This set comes with travel sizes of the Boscia Luminizing Black Mask, the Bright White Mask, and the Tsubaki Beauty Oil. I have used the Black Mask regularly for over a year, but the other two products are new adventures for me. The Black Mask from Boscia is a weekly peel-off mineral mask that detoxifies, purifies, and exfoliates the skin. I recommend this product is you are concerned about clogged pores, mild breakouts, and texture.  After you peel it off you will notice your skin is brighter, smoother, and your pores are less visible.

The Tsubaki Beauty Oil has been a positive addition to my current routine.  Facial Oils are a wonderful addition to any skincare routine because they address a wide range of skin concerns and can be used with other skincare products or alone.  Facial Oils have benefits such as  balancing out oil production,  calming sensitivity, increasing hydration, firming, and brightening. The Tsubaki Beauty Oil contains Camellia and Japanese Sea Kelp.  It also has Omega-3 Acids and Rice Bran Oil which help to nourish the skin and provide preventative anti-aging benefits.

The first time I used this product I washed my face with my current cleanser, the Ole Henrikson African Red Tea Foaming Cleanser. I applied a few drops of the oil in my palm,  and gently tapped the product into my skin with my fingertips. I did not apply moisturizer afterwards because I wanted to get a sense of how it worked with my skin.   When I woke up the next morning I noticed that my skin felt very smooth. I then used it again under my moisturizer in the morning before makeup and it still felt fabulous.  I also noticed that my moisturizer soaked in slightly faster when I used the oil underneath it. I have been using this twice a day under my moisturizer and I have noticed my skin feels more hydrated but not greasy or overly shiny during the day.  Once again my theory that anything pink is good for you has been proven.

The Tsubaki Beauty Oil is used under a moisturizer or even mixed with a foundation. If you have combination or oily skin and have issues with dehydration have no fear of incorporating it into your routine because it is non-comedogenic and non-greasy. My kit has only a travel size but the regular size is 1.7oz and is forty-eight dollars.

I did not try out the Bright White Mask because I am currently using a different mask,  but there will be a review in the coming weeks on this product in a special post. Please stay Tuned.
