The Power of Pumpkin!

How To Get Pumpkin-Spiced All Year Long!

Sipping a hot venti Pumpkin Spice Latte on a chilly Saturday morning is the highlight of many of my weekends.  And during this chilly and snowy month of February any treat that is warm enough, spicy enough, and comforting enough is just what we all need.  Thanks to the brand Pumpkin Spiced, I can combine two great obsessions – skincare & all things pumpkin into one cozy, hydrating, and delicious self-care moment.

Let’s talk about the power of Pumpkin in your skincare!

Pumpkins are big, colorful iconic vegetables that are usually associated with sweets and treats.  But make no mistake that they are incredibly nutritious and provide tons of benefits for your skin.  Pumpkins contain Vitamins A, C, and E which are antioxidants that help fight sun damage and wrinkles – that’s called aging and we are trying to fight all that as hard as JLo. and Kris Jenner.   It also has fruit enzymes that are great for exfoliating and brightening your complexion. So if you have concerns about pores, texture, or stubborn blackheads you will love a pumpkin based product.  Pumpkin also has Zinc and Potassium which can calm redness and inflammation.

With all these scrumptious benefits I was beyond excited to try out a new brand called Pumpkin & Spice.  I had the pleasure of trying three great products from this unique brand.

Pumpkin and Spice is a vegan, cruelty free, and dermatologist test brand from California. The pumpkin spice scent makes me very happy. The brand is also socially conscious and earth friendly,  donating one dollar from the sale of each Day Bundle skincare set to help save the endangered Tapanuli Orangutans.

The brand uses Pumpkin Seed Oil to provide hydration, repair, and nourishment to your skin.  Pumpkin Seed Oil contains Antioxidants and Omega-3 Fatty Acids.  It is formulated to be safe for sensitive skin and mature skin. If your skin is extra sensitive ALWAYS be sure to do a patch test behind the ear or on the inside of the arm to see how your skin reacts before you use it on your face.

The Pumpkin Spice Jelly Cleanser- For All Skin Types

The cleanser has a lightweight jelly consistency and gently removes surface dirt and oils, leaving your skin smooth and fresh. You won’t have that dry and stripped feel. I used it the morning at the sink and at night as step two of my regular double cleanse routine.  Most of the year my skin is normal to dry to super dry so I really loved the way this cleanser felt and performed. If you have sensitive skin or combination skin it would also be a good option to try.

The Pumpkin Spice Face Mask – Detox and Brighten

If you have been following this blog for awhile then you know I LIVE FOR A GOOD MASK!  I attribute regular use of masks to maintaining a healthy complexion.  The Pumpkin Spice mask is a clay mask that purifies and brightens the skin. The first time I tried this mask I was battling my stubborn monthly hormonal breakouts.  I noticed it did help to calm those trouble areas on my cheek on and chin, and left my skin very smooth. Because of the anti-inflammatory properties there was no scarring left behind as the breakout healed.

The Pumpkin and Spice Under Eye Cream -Tighten and Rejuvenate.

No skincare routine is complete without a rich hydrating eye cream. The eye area has the thinnest and most delicate skin on your face so eye cream twice a day is a non-negotiable in your skincare routine.  The Pumpkin Eye Cream is creamy but soaks in quickly and easily, provides firming around the eye area  and the texture works well under makeup.
