Hello Lovelies,
My favorite part of my skincare routine is using masks! Consistent masking is a key part of my routine and my top beauty secret for maintaining happy, fresh skin. I describe myself as a “daily-masker”. Yes, I said daily. Sometimes, in an effort to multitask, I will do a hair mask and a face mask at the same time. What better way to spend fifteen to thirty minutes while you catch up on your Netflix favorites? I believe in incorporating masks in order to keep pores clear, purge impurities, and infuse your skin with nourishing treatment. Two of my current favorites this summer are by the Japanese brand Boscia, available at Sephora stores and Sephora.com
The newest addition to the Boscia collection of sheet masks is the new favorite child in my sheet mask family. Sheet masks are a great way to treat your skin because they are soaked with treatments that address specific concerns. The main ingredient, Wakame, is Japanese Sea Kelp. This special skincare ingredient is packed with oodles of antioxidants and prevents fine lines and wrinkles. Another added benefit of Wakame is that is helps to prevent loss of elasticity, meaning that it helps to keep your skin firm. I think it’s safe to agree that we all want firm skin. The mask also has one of my favorite ingredients, Licorice Root. I love this ingredient because it reduces discoloration and will improve your overall skintone.
The mask adheres easily and comfortably. Now you have twenty minutes to enjoy a quick homemade mimosa while you let your skin soak up a much needed dose of hydration and nourishment. The first time I used this mask I noticed that my skin felt tighter, smoother, and perfectly moisturized. When you pull it off after twenty minutes be sure to massage the remaining product into your skin, and whatever is left on your fingers smooth into your jawline and neck. And the best part is, this gem is only $8 dollars.
Charcoal Pore Pudding Intensive Wash-Off Treatment

Let’s say a heartfelt goodbye to blackheads, troublesome t-zones, and visible pores thanks to the Charcoal Pore Pudding. Some charcoal masks can make your skin feel very tight. The Pore Pudding has a unique formula; the dynamic duo of black charcoal and white charcoal will purify and balance your skin. The black swirl of charcoal is Activated Bamboo Charcoal which can absorb 1,000 times its weight in impurities. So that means, pretty much every ounce of debris in your pores is removed. The white swirl of charcoal is Binchotan White Charcoal Powder which provides hydration and balances your skin. The Pore Pudding also has Kaolin Clay which absorbs excess oil. If you are combination to oily, concerned with congestion, or stubborn blackheads then this is a must-have mask.
Because it provides moisture while purifying you can continue to use this mask well after the summer heat has past. I notice that every time I use it my skin feels very soft and very clean and refreshed. When you apply the mask it will not get hard but it will dry, and then you can easily rinse it off with water after fifteen to twenty minutes. If you are doing this mask at night, I would probably pair it with a nice Sauvignon Blanc and an episode of Scandal on Netflix.
You could use the sheet mask once a week, and then use the Charcoal Pore Pudding twice a week. One of my favorite mask-hacks is to start with my purifying mask, then after I rinse it off I apply my sheet mask. SO this means that since my first step is detoxing my skin, and then my serum packed sheet mask is going to absorb better. Trust me, you will notice a difference in your skin with this hack.
