Hello Lovelies,
I love wearing bronzer as part of my daily makeup routine. And yes, brown girls can wear bronzer. No matter if you are Princess Ariel or Princess Jasmine (like me!) every skin tone can benefit from a bronzer because it gives warmth and definition to the face. And now that winter has finally come out in full force the only way to keep the warm glow of those mild December 2015 days is with a great bronzer.
In order to get the best results from your favorite bronzer, you need to make sure you are not falling into the following makeup missteps.
I found the images below in this post on Pinterest (see photo credits in each picture).
1.Using your bronzer ALL OVER THE FACE.
Bronzer is not a replacement for a liquid foundation or tinted moisturizer. Bronzer is not a replacement for powder foundation. Bronzer does not provide coverage or even out your skin. Bronzers are deep warm products that are best applied in a “3 ” or “E” shape on the face. Do not place your bronzer down the center of the nose. I saw a few tutorials online showing the placement of a matte bronzer down the center of the face. If you place a dark matte color down the center of the face it has an unflattering effect. If you want to contour and define your nose, I suggest using a contour powder on the sides of the nose and blending.

2. You are using the WRONG BRUSH.
A big fluffy powder brush will pick up and distribute too much product at one time. My favorite brushes for applying bronzer are the Tarte Swirl Power Contour and Bronzing Brush, and the MAC #168 Large Angled Contour Brush. These are perfect options because they are the appropriate size and give a precise application.

3. You are only using ONE bronzer.
I always blend and layer my cheek products for a super-glam sculpted look. I start with a matte bronzer to give warmth and sculpt my cheeks then I apply a shimmery bronzer.
