As a beauty expert and self-proclaimed product junkie I absolutely love subscription boxes. It’s great to be able to try new products and services that can make your life more luxurious and beautiful. It’s like getting a special gift to myself every month. I currently receive a monthly box of awesome from Birchbox. I have recently discovered a few new subscription box services that I really love and wanted to share them with you because they are great gifts to give yourself every month, and to gift to others as the holidays get closer.
1. Wickbox
I love decorating my home with candles! They are one of my favorite gifts to give and receive. I change my candles according to the season and I have different scents for different occasions. Candles are also an easy way to decorate a room with a luxurious touch. SO…when I discovered Wickbox I was in heaven! It is a monthly luxury candle subscription service. Every month you receive a full size candle based on a “scent profile” that you fill out on their website. You have two options with your subscription. One surprise medium luxury candle per month for $29.95, with a typical burn time of 30 to 60 hours, or you can receive one surprise large luxury candle for $39.95 a month with a typical burn time of 60 to 100 hours. I think this service is very affordable because most of the luxury candles I have purchased of similar size and burning time have ranged in price from $60 to $125.
2. Curlbox
I was so serious about signing up for this service that I set an alarm on my phone so I could make sure I was in front of my computer at the exact moment I needed to sign up for my membership. I had been waiting to get the email for when memberships would open up!! Curl Box is a monthly subscription box that delivers hair care products specifically for curly hair. They carry brands such as Ouidad, Carol’s Daughter, Shea Moisture, PhytoSpecific, Deva Curl, and many more. Be sure to sign up for the emails and put your name on the list for a membership. When new memberships open up you will receive an email letting you know when to log on and enroll. My first box will arrive in December so please stay tuned for a full review and unboxing details.
3. Sketchbox
It’s time to channel your inner artist with a monthly delivery of art supplies and an inspirational piece of art to jumpstart your creative process. As a little girl I loved to draw and create. Today as an adult I’m a blogger who still loves art and draws her thoughts before translating them into words. Each box has products such as Copic Markers, Koi Watercolors, Montana Acrylic Paint Markers, Alphacolor Pastels, Caran d’Ache Luminance Colored Pencils, Charcoals, Graphite Sticks, Gum Erasers, and other materials to bring your artistic visions to life. Sketchbox provides the tools, but not the canvas or paper. There are two types of memberships, Basic and Premium. The Basic is $25 per month, and the premium is $35 per month which includes higher quality materials. Each box has a $5 shipping. You can pay monthly, or you can prepay for three, six, or twelve months up front.
