Skincare after the age of thirty is either about maintaining the great skin of your twenties, or correcting all the damage you incurred in your twenties. If sun damage, acne scars, or the first signs of aging are starting to become visible then let me introduce to a game changer. When it comes to skincare I am all about ingredients!!!
The Luna Sleeping Night Oil by Sunday Riley is a facial oil for bedtime that has a hydrating complex blended with a Retinol that will address multiple skin care concerns. Keep in mind when applying this deep blue miracle that you only need a few drops of this oil all over the face. You reap the benefits of using a retinol product minus the dryness and irritation that is common with retinol because the of the soothing properties of German Chamomile, in addition some other fabulous ingredients.
Here are a few more reasons why this product is a non-negotiable must have in your bathroom:
- The Trans-Retinol Ester will treat fine lines, wrinkles, and hyper-pigmentation (uneven skin tone is a struggle)
- It will give a brighter, more luminous appearance to your skin.
- It helps to reduce visible pore size (no need for an Instagram filter ever again)
- Blue Tansy Oil is anti-inflammatory and calms the skin, inhibiting irritation.
- Cape Chamomile helps with sebum production. This means it will balance your skin’s oil production. Oil balance oil!
- Chia Seed Oil has oodles of Omega-3 so it helps to minimize lines.
I have been using the oil every night for the past two weeks. I take off my makeup, apply my eye cream, and then I use 3 to 4 drops all over my face.
When I wake up I have noticed that my skin is incredibly smooth, it looks bright and glowy but never greasy, and my summer sun damage is beginning to slowly fade. I will continue to update you on my progress with this product because I can already tell it’s going to be a staple in my skincare routine.
Please remember that when using a Retinol product you have to stay consistent with your SPF! Make sure to wear a product with SPF 30 or higher everyday on your face and neck when using this product. If you are making the investment to correct environmental damage then be sure to protect your investment. It clearly states on the box (in two different places) that this product is not for use during pregnancy, so if you have further questions about using active ingredients while expecting or trying to conceive please make an appointment with your doctor. Otherwise, head to Sephora and pick this up.
I love sharing my skincare knowledge so if you have any more questions about ingredients or there is a skincare issue you would like me to blog about please feel free to leave a comment here on the blog.
