Beauty On Ice : 3 skincare products I always keep in the refrigerator.

Hello Lovelies!

Summer has finally come to New York City.  Sundresses, Shakespeare in Park, Beach time, and longer days are our rewards for surviving the winter on the East Coast.  Due to the change in season, my skincare routine has to change accordingly.  I have three products in my summer skincare routine that help to ease the struggle of having dry combination skin that becomes normal to oily during this time of year.  I keep these products in my refrigerator because my bathroom gets very hot during the day, and they feel more soothing on the skin.

1.  Fresh Rose Face Mask, $62

A rose by any other name would smell just as sweet, but this is my absolute favorite hydrating, toning, soothing mask and I have been known to use it three days a week!  It contains rosewater, cucumber, and actual rose petals. It calms inflammation and gives a dose of hydration in a lightweight gel formula.  This is great for all skin types and I love the way it tones and tightens my skin. In the picture I have a beauty insider sample (I finished my full size jar), but the full-size product is 3.3 oz so you definitely get your money’s worth. And please note you only need a small amount of product so be sure to use the spatula that comes with the jar.

2. Skyn Iceland Icelandic Relief Eye Cream, $45

I remember discovering this product seven years ago and I still love it.   My allergies trigger my puffiness and my eyes are very sensitive but when I pull this out of the refrigerator and apply on my orbital bone I can feel a difference.  It immediately depuffs and addresses fine lines and dark circles.  It is dermatologist tested and safe for sensitive eyes. I purchased my jar on Birchbox.com.

3.  Korres Greek Yoghurt Moisturizing Face Cream, $36

If you are looking for a lightweight moisturizer that won’t feel too heavy or greasy in the city summer heat, works well under makeup, and has a great price then this it it.  This moisturizer has actual full-fat, greek yogurt.  Yogurt is packed with nourishing proteins, vitamins, and oodles of hydration. It absorbs quickly and is used day and night.  It does not have sunscreen so I always put a separate sunscreen on top before my makeup.
