Night Creams for Oily Skin after 30

Hello Lovelies,

After the age of thirty your skincare concerns change a great deal.  As your skin enters this very important decade you may be battling the first of signs of fine lines, uneven skin tone, or even adult acne.  If you have oily skin in your thirties then consider yourself lucky because the appearance of lines and wrinkles will be slower.  But with the gift of oily skin comes the price of excess shine or finding a product that doesn’t feel heavy and greasy on your skin.  I have two product suggestions that will give good results and have a texture that will work for someone with an oily skin type. These products have lovely exfoliating benefits so be sure to wear a product with SPF everyday to protect your skin.

1. Serious Skincare Glycolic Retexturizing Cream, $32.50

I discovered this amazing cream from Birchbox.com.  In the summer time my dry/combination skin becomes excessively oily and breakouts start popping up so I have to revamp my routine.  Glycolic acid is an ingredient that will exfoliate the surface of your skin. This means that if you want to address excess oil, uneven skintone, dullness, texture, fine lines, or visible pores this product should be in your nighttime routine.  I like to describe it as an instant facial in jar that sweeps away visible imperfects over time.  It contains 9.8% glycolic acid.  You may feel some tingling when you first apply but that will pass.  If you are concerned with sensitivity or have never used a glycolic product before,  start using it over other night for the first one to two weeks so your skin can adjust to the level of exfoliation.

2. Boscia Revitalizing Black Hydration Gel, $32

If you have oily skin, need hydration, and want the lightest texture possible this is the product for you.  This product will hydrate, control excess oil, tighten the pore wall (which makes your pores less visible),  and brightens the skin with Vitamin C.  It looks black when it comes out of the jar but it does not leave any residue or black coloring on the skin, and absorbs immediately.  You can use this product day or night,  but I am recommending it for nighttime because it does not have SPF.  If you use it during the day, please make sure to put an SPF on top.

If you try either of these moisturizers please let me know how they work for you!
