MAKEUP HAUL: BOBBI BROWN SUMMER COLLECTION 2014

I recently made a stop at my local Bobbi Brown counter to pick up one of my favorite eye products and I was captivated by their new summer collection, Surf and Sand. It is a limited edition collection that includes two eye shadow palettes, two blushes, two eyeliners, and four amazing lip colors that can be worn well into the fall. I bought three items in this haul but only two of the them are part of the collection. I have been using them every day.

1. Brightening Blush in Bronze 1, $45

Gorgeous!!

Gorgeous!!

This blush is everything I want in a powder cheek product. It is a highlighter and blush all in one with a warm golden undertone. It gives a bronze glow to the cheek with a touch of pink and gold that will compliment any skin tone. It works perfectly on my complexion and I will definitely be wearing it after summer has ended. There is another shade in the collection which gives a pink flush to the skin. I would probably use that only on lighter skintones.

2. Long-Wear Eye Pencil in Black Chocolate, $24

This liner has a rich color that is more of a brown-black and compliments all eye colors. It sets perfectly and stayed on all day without a smudge. It is a great alternative to traditional black during the summer.

3. Corrector in Very Deep Bisque, $25

Apply this with a concealer brush under the eye

This color is NOT limited edition.  I buy it all year round.  Anything in a peach or orange color is great for neutralizing dark circles or discoloration. This product comes in a wide shade range from bisque (more pink) to peach (more orange). If you have a medium to deep complexion use a darker peach or orange corrector under the eye, then apply your concealer. It will help to give extra coverage and the eye area will look brighter.

You can find these products at Sephora, Sephora.com, Bobbibrowncosmetics.com, and  Nordstroms.com
