I have been looking forward to posting a review of this product ever since it landed on my doorstep from Sephora.com. I have always been a devoted fan of Too Faced cosmetics. I love the feminine, sexy, modern packaging; I love the way the brand makes it so easy, fun, and quick to be glamorous with every single product. When I saw it for the first time in Sephora I was intrigued but I didn’t immediately purchase it because I had recently purchased two other palettes and resigned myself to put it on my wish list for my next eyeshadow purchase. I received a Sephora giftcard for my birthday and decided to make my wish list come true.
When you open this beautiful creation it smells as delicious as a Lindt Truffle. These shadows contain Cocoa Powder which is soothing on the skin. It also gives the shadows a silky feeling. The palette contains sixteen shadows, a mix of shimmer and matte shadows. At first glance you may think it is a just another neutral palette, but it is an exotic blend of burgundies, pinks, green, and browns. Too Faced includes a quick guide of three looks that you can create with this palette. I often hear from my clients that when they buy a palette they only use two or three of the colors. The suggested looks with detailed fool-proof instructions will help unleash your inner makeup artist diva and inspire you to wear colors you probably thought you would never try. The Chocolate Palette makes it easy to create soft daytime looks as well as dramatic smokey looks.
In the picture above I did my own personal smokey daytime look. When I try new colors I make sure to take a picture in natural light outside so that my followers can see how it translates to real life. Here are the rest of the details of the look pictured above:
- Becca Ultimate Creme Coverage Foundation in Tobacco.
- Creme de la Femme lipstick by MAC.
- Dior Extase mascara by Dior.
- Anastasia Dipbrow in Ebony.
I highly recommend adding this palette to your makeup collection. It will work for all skin tones and eye colors, while providing intense long-wearing pigment in a cute candy case. I would love to see some of the looks that all of you create with these colors. Tag me on Instagram (@sagebeautyblog) or leave a comment a below.

Looks great! :))
lets follow each other? 🙂 http://lookbeyondbeauty.wordpress.com/
Gorgeous palette 🙂 The fact that it has instructions is fab. I’m definitely one of those people who needs to be told which eyeshadow to put where, ha ha. I always envy anyone who can mix and match shadows and create their own looks 😀
This is the first Too Faced pallete I buy. I have not yet had a chance to play around with it but I’m very excited to create some looks with it. Thanks for sharing your look with us 🙂
Great Review, I was thinking about getting this palette the colors are really pretty and the whole cocoa powder in the shadow is pretty cool too!
I want to try this!
