APRIL EMPTIES: The Replenishment Report.

I just finished off some really great products during the month of April, and I can’t wait to refill my supply closet. This post is titled a “Replenishment Report” because I will be purchasing them all a second time.  All of the products featured in this post can be purchased at Sephora stores and Sephora.com

1.  Soap and Glory Clean Girls Body Wash

Soap and Glory is one my favorite bath and body brands. It is the product of the genius of Marcia Gilgore. Marcia is best known for  creating the worldwide spa-nomenon known as Bliss.  Yes, it’s that serious.  This body wash is a wonderful addition to your daily shower experience. It is filled with moisturizing ingredients blended with luxurious notes of Freesia, Vanilla, and Musk.  It has a rich, creamy consistency and leaves your skin smooth and fresh. The pink packaging matches my bathroom perfectly.

2. Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster

I have been using this product on and off for the past few years. Whenever I start using it again I wonder to myself why I ever stopped in the first place.  This serum is a bottle of sunshine with the added benefits of Vitamin C and Green Tea. These two powerful antioxidants help to protect your skin from further damage, brighten and improve skin tone, and help smooth fine lines.  It also improves firmness and elasticity.   The texture of the serum is almost weightless. It feels as light and fresh on the face as a splash of cool water.  I used it every morning after cleansing on my face and neck. The tiny lines around my mouth seemed to be erased over the past month. If you are looking for an anti-aging serum that will prevent and treat I highly recommend the Truth Serum.

3.  Boscia Luminizing Black Mask

I love this mask. It is a purifying mineral-infused mask that is peeled off once dry.  It pulls out impurities, exfoliates, controls oil, and reduces the appearance of pores.  I use it once a week on my entire face and sometimes just on my t-zone.  If you have normal to combination or oily skin this would be a great product to try.  It is a thick product so I prefer to apply it with a flat foundation brush. Using a brush allows you to waste less product and evenly distribute the product with no mess.  I begin by removing my makeup and then cleansing with face wash.  I apply a generous layer and then spend the next twenty minutes letting it dry while I watch Vikings on the History Channel.  After it dries you gently peel it off.  If you look closely at the mask you will see some of the debris is pull out of your pores.  It also helps to brighten the complexion as well.

4. Fresh Black Tea Age-Delay Eye Concentrate

This product provides multiple benefits and visible results when used twice daily.  It has a luxurious creamy texture, intensely hydrates,  reduces lines and wrinkles,  provides firming, and reduces dark circles.  I noticed my concealer lasted longer and I woke up with no morning puffiness.  This product is $85 dollars for 0.5oz.  The price point is on the higher end, but this is a product that is worth investing in because of the long term benefits.  The eyes are usually the first area of the face to show visible signs of aging.  If you haven’t seen results with other eye creams,  I strongly advise you to invest in this product.

5. Bobbi Brown Corrector

Every morning when I am putting on my makeup the first thing I want to conceal is my dark circles.  My secret weapon in looking like I have no dark circles is the under eye corrector from Bobbi Brown.  It is a warm peach color that helps to brighten the eye and counteract the dark bluish shadows under the eye.  As a makeup artist I love using peach colored primers and correctors.  Peach and Orange tones brighten every skin tone and enhance the performance of your concealers and foundations.  I have a deeper skintone so I use the color Very Deep Bisque.  There is a wide range of shades in this product to fit most skin tones.  After applying eye cream, I use a small concealer brush and apply it under my eyes and a small amount on my eye lid for extra brightening.  I then apply my concealer and blend it with my beauty blender sponge. For concealer I am currently using Nars Creamy Radiance Concealer in Caramel.  Think of this product as a lingerie for your makeup. It makes everything smoother and seamless so you look even better.
