The Power of the Blue Bears
Quick Disclaimer – IF you are on ANY medications, pregnant, nursing, or trying to get pregnant be sure to speak with your doctor first before adding any new supplements to your diet. Okay, Thanks!
This is a story about a girl and her vitamins. It all started with those super addictive Flintstones vitamins I took at seven years old; one Fred and one Barney with breakfast. Taking supplements on a daily basis has always been an integral part of my diet and beauty routine. Beautiful hair, skin, and nails can be achieved with a combination of great topical products, a healthy lifestyle, and a healthy diet that includes regular cheat days. Adding supplements gives your body extra much needed nutrients to stay healthy. For many people, being able to grow long healthy hair can be a challenge due to diet, hormones, medications, or stress. Whenever I have gone through prolonged stressful periods (which is like…way too often to count) I see a visible decline in the quality of my hair, skin, and nails. When you are going through a lot of stress then you probably are not eating healthy or getting enough sleep. These factors can easily affect hair growth. The struggles are real.
So why Sugar Bear Hair Vitamins? – If you spend any time on social media at all then there is a high probability you have heard of the brand Sugar Bear Hair Vitamins. Even Kim Kardashian West has been on Instagram preaching the gospel of the blue bears.
I have heard only positive reviews and feedback about this brand so I decided to give it a try. I have tried other brands of hair supplements and have seen a difference in my hair growth so I was eager to try another brand to compare.

When picking supplements for hair and nails be sure to look for a specific ingredient called Biotin. In the past it used to be called vitamin H. The H was for Haar und Haut, which is German for hair and skin.
Biotin is a type of water-soluble B vitamin, known as B7, that is found in Egg Yolks, Cheese, and even Cauliflower! It helps your body convert food into energy, and it can help repair the overall protein structure of your hair. Think of Biotin as Red Bull for your hair, skin, and nails.
Sugar Bear Hair Vitamins are free of gelatin, dairy, and gluten. They are also vegetarian and cruelty-free. In addition to Biotin, they are also formulated with folic acid and Vitamin D. According to the Sugar Bear website the vitamins work best when you take them for a minimum of 3 months, and you see the best results at six months of usage. I may be in the minority but I noticed a difference after my first month. Each bottle has 60 bears, so you take two per day. What I like most about them is that they are chewy and even if I don’t take them with food my tummy is fine. I noticed my nails growing much faster (that gel fill-in lasted less than two weeks!!), and I did notice some growth, which means for me less breakage and that makes me happy. After my first month I was very happy with the initial results.
To get the most out of any supplement you have to be consistent so I combined my vitamins with eating breakfast so it would seamlessly fold into my morning routine. I would recommend trying these vitamins if you feel your hair needs a boost for growth or you have been noticing some breakage. And since they actually taste good it’s a good way to incorporate vitamins into your routine if you don’t normally do supplements. You can buy them online or you can pop into Ulta like I did to buy them.
