Gently and thoroughly removing all of your makeup before bed is VERY important to maintaining healthy beautiful skin. I have not done a “monthly empties” post for ages but I had to share why I love my new favorite makeup remover and why you will love it too. And best of all it’s from one of my favorite brands!

I love using cleansing oils and balms to remove my makeup because they help to balance my hydration and remove my makeup easily and quickly. Sometimes the ones formulated for the face don’t always agree with my eyes so when I find one that will melt my foundation AND remove my eye makeup, it’s a win-win at Castle Sage.

The Boscia Charcoal Makeup Melter Cleansing Oil Balm takes off makeup in a snap, has helped calm my mild to moderate breakouts, and removes my waterproof eye makeup and eyeliner with no irritation and no tugging. The Makeup Melter not only removes makeup it also detoxifies the skin and works to unclog pores. I have also noticed that it is great for gently removing any bits of eyelash glue on my lash line. And I have used a small amount of the product to very carefully clean my false lashes.

The Makeup Melter uses Activated Bamboo Charcoal to purify pores, remove toxins, and cleanse without stripping the skin. Binchotan White Charcoal Powder provides moisture and balances hydration.

Whenever I mention a product that I love and it happens to be oil-based I am prepared to hear from the people, “Well I can’t use anything with oil in it”. This is the part when I get to talk about the amazing benefits of cleansing oils and balms because not all oils are bad for your skin! This bodacious balm also contains Sunflower Oil which helps to neutralize bacteria and unclog pores.

How To Use It:

Take a small amount, using either with your fingertips or the spatula that comes with the product and apply to a dry face, including the eye area. Gently massage in circular motions for two minutes, and simply add warm water to create a milky cleanser. It rinses clean and you will notice that your skin feels soft and fresh, but with no greasy residue left behind.
